Mangalore, Jul 26: Seven persons have been arrested in connection with the ransacking of Hotel Ashirvad at Kulshekar in the city on July 24.

Three persons out of the arrested have been identified. However the accused have been remanded to judicial custody till August 8.

They have been booked under the Prevention of Destruction and Loss of Property Act 1981 together with Rioting and Criminal intimidation.

While police arrested five persons, two persons had been handed over to the police by the public soon after the incident on Monday.
