Kundapur, Jul 24: By chewing an injection bottle, an accused who was in police custody tried to end his life. This episode was reported Guddeangadi in Kundapur on Saturday, Jul 22.
Praveen Poojary who was absconding was arrested by the Byndoor police. Poojary who was accused in Kundapur JMFC court was being taken to the police station when he swallowed a razor blade.
Police rushed him to the hospital in Byndoor.
While the doctors were examining him he attempted to commit suicide by chewing an injection bottle and biting his own right hand thumb. He was immediately rescued and treated. He is now stated to be out of danger and is under observation.
In this connection an attempt to suicide case has been registered U/s 309 of IPC in Byndoor police station.
