'Holiday' beats '2 States' lifetime figures

Mumbai, Jun 23: Akshay Kumar starer 'Holiday' has beaten the box office collections of Arjun Kapoor starer '2 States'. 'Holiday' has collected Rs 105 crores net until Sunday June 22 in India.'2 States' had collected Rs 104 crores net for its lifetime.

With Rs 105 crores in its kitty, 'Holiday' is the second highest grossing film in 2014 after Salman Khan starer 'Jai Ho'. 'Holiday' is the third film to enter the 100 crore club this year after 'Jai Ho' and '2 States'.

'Holiday' is Akshay Kumar's third film collecting more than Rs 100 crores net in India. His other two films are 'Housefull 2' directed by Sajid Khan which had collected Rs 106 crores and 'Rowdy Rathore' directed by Prabhu Dheva which had collected 131 crores.

'Holiday' will easily beat 'Housefull 2' lifetime figures. But it has to be seen whether it can beat 'Rowdy Rathore's figures and emerge as Akshay Kumar's highest grosser.

'Holiday' is directed by A R Murgadoss and produced by Akshay Kumar and Vipul A Shah. The movie has Sonkashi Sinha as the female lead. Pritam composed the music. The movie was released on 6 June, 2014 and is running successfully.
