Udupi, Jul 22: The district unit of All College Student Action Committee (ACSAC) has organized a mobike rally on Monday Jul 24 protesting the setting up of coal-based Nagarjuna Thermal Plant at Nandikur near Padubidri here.
This was announced by Shantiprasad Hegde, noted advocate and founder president of ACSAC at a press conference here on Friday July 21.
Bike rally will be launched at 10 am on Monday from the city and more than 200 bikers from Kundapur, Karkala and the city are expected to participate in the rally. T he bikers will visit most of the colleges in the district to create awareness about the environmental dangers and the polluting thermal plants and also against many other mega-industries, on their way to come up in the district.
