New Delhi, Jul 22: India will not play a series of limited-overs internationals against the West Indies in Canada this year as facilities for staging the matches were not available, the Indian cricket board said Friday.
"The Canadian Cricket Association has told us that it cannot stage the series in September, they can't make full arrangements,'' said Niranjan Shah, secretary of the Indian cricket board.
Shah said the West Indies cricket officials were aware of this development, but other options were being considered.
"We might schedule this series in another country ... the Netherlands, Singapore or Malaysia,'' Shah told The Associated Press.
"But the venue must be finalised by next week for the series to be played in September,'' he said.
