Mangalore, Jul 20: The project to convert the stretch of road in the city between Mahaveer (Pumpwell) circle and Hampankatta into a four-lane, concrete carriageway will be launched at 4 pm on July 22.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 12.09 crore. Among those who will be present are Rajya Sabha member and former union minister B Janardan Poojary, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, city mayor Ashraf, district minister in charge B Nagaraj Shetty, depury mayor Indira, MP D V Sadananda Gowda, MLAs N Yogish Bhat, J Krishna Palemar, U T Fareed, MLC Blasius M D'Souza, KUIDFC managing director Javed Akhtar and others.
