Bhatkal: Woman commits suicide by jumping into well

Bhatkal, June 12: A 26-year-old woman committed suicide by drowning in a well on a farm at Salkod village near Honnavar.
 
The incident took place on the morning of Monday June 9. The woman has been identified as Tara Shridhar Gowda (26), resident of Vandur.
 
She had married Shridhar of Vandur last year and was happy at her husband’s home. Police said that since the last six months she was suffering from some mental illness and was under medication in a depressed state which might have led her to end her life. A case has been registered at Honnavar police station.
