Bangalore, Jun 10: The State Government has extended the deadline for completing the process of general transfers of its employees from June 10 to June 20.
Guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms directed heads of the departments to transfer 'A' and 'B' cadre employees.
IAS, IPS, secretaries, chief engineers etc) only be transferred from the postings if they have completed one year.
While in case of Group C and D employees, they will be transferred if they have completed two and seven years of postings, respectively.
However, guidelines have directed heads of departments to give postings to couple-officials or teachers at the same place.
Heads of the departments or ministers have no power to issue transfer orders beyond June 10.
Employees seeking transfers after June 10 required permission from the Chief Minister.
The Congress government has issued new transfer policy last year.
A State Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah last week discussed various issues pertained to general transfers.
The Chief Minister has directed ministers to retain in the existing posting and place of employees who have not completed two years of tenure.
