Puttur, Jul 12: Even as Akshata murder accused Sattar is still at large, the Hindu organizations in association with BJP organized a huge protest rally in the town on Wednesday July 12.  MLA T Shakuntala Shetty led the protesters.

Speaking on the occasion she demanded the administration to hand over the case ot DCIB police.  "If the police cannot trace Sattar, then let them tell.  We will arrange other means.  The case would be given to DCIB.  Even if that is not possible tell us what you want.  Do you want CoD or CBI?  I will arrange that," thundered she.

She blamed the police that they have not been putting in all their efforts in tracing Sattar who has been accused of killing Tarigudde resident Akshata.  "Police say that they have gone to all the places to search Sattar.  But they have returned empty handed.  Instead of putting Sattar behind the bars, they have arrested some innocent people who have nothing to do with the case," she added.

Legislative council member Balakrishna Bhat too addressed the gathering.  He said that they will not allow peace to prevail in the town till Sattar is arrested. Former MLA Kumble Sundar Rao also spoke on the occasion.

Sadashiv Rai Dambekana of VHP, Rajgopal Rai of Bajrang Dal, Raveendra of RSS and other leaders were also present during the protest rally.  More than 200 Sangh Parivar activists participated in the rally and the following meeting.
