Udupi, May 29: Bharathiya Vikas Trust, Manipal and Academy of General Education, Manipal jointly organized 29th Smrithi Din of Dr T M A Pai and T A Pai on Thursday, May 29 at Raveendra stadium, MGM College here.
Giving a floral tribute to their photos, M V Kamath, a senior journalist and editor said that they deserved the honor because of their contributions to the nation and achievements.
Recalling the old days he said that T M A Pai had succeeded with his courage, consideration, committment and caring personality.
N K Thingalaya, the director, Syndicate bank said, "I was one of the beneficiaries of the Pai family; so I was able to become the ninth president of Syndicate bank. It is my duty to recall our relationship."
Rangaswamy, a retired deputy manager of Syndicate bank, H V Bharama Gowda, the deputy manager, Syndicate bank, regional office and others were present.
A G Kodgi, the president of Amasebailu Charitable Trust presided over the programme.
