Bantwal, May 29: Belliappa, a veteran police officer, will take charge as the circle inspector for Bantwal police limits.

He had served as a trainee sub-inspector at the Bantwal police station after which he was transferred to Mangalore, where he had served in various stations.

He had also served as the circle inspector in Bhatkal station.
