Mangalore, May 23: A protest was held by the Akhila Bharata Karmika Sangha (R) here on Friday May 23 in front of the DC's office.
Sudatta Jain Shirthadi speaking to the media said that the Akhila Bharata Karmika Sangha (R) would wait till June 23 for the labour officers, the MESCOM, the highway and the health ministers, the MPs, the MLAs and the other officers to fulfill their requirements and would protest in front of the Shirthadi Gram Panchayath if they failed to do so.
"A case should be filed against MLA Abhay Chandra Jain for giving a life-threatening call to the Moodbidri journalist Yashodhar V Bangera. Security, healthcare facilities and salary should be provided to all the journalists who are working in Dakshina Kannada district," he said.
"KSRTC and electricity price should be reduced and strict action should be taken against KMC Attavar as well as the mobile towers for using electricity illegally. Proper action should be taken against the ESI directors and ESIC officials for neglecting the disorderliness of the ESI hospital," he added.
Jain said that the labourers who were working at the construction sites should get proper facilities.
"Labour department officers who neglected the complaint given by the people about Adhani Wilmar, Baikampady and Hindustan Unilever Limited should be punished and they should stop discriminating the labourers," he said.
He also mentioned that the people working in the hotels should be provided with health cards.
