Udupi, May 23: The District Congress Committee (DCCC) organized a party workers’ meeting on Thursday May 22 at Congress Hall, Brahmagiri, Udupi.
Congress leader Oscar Fernandes said, “In a democratic country, if a candidate has failed to get majority, he must know how to accept the verdict. The party must be run as per public opinion and desires.”
He further said, “Modi had promised that he will supply 15-20 gas cylinders to each house. If it is not done, the public must send messages through social media till he gives a positive response.”
Fernandes accepted the Congress’s failure positively. “Amethi is not as developed as other places. The right time has come to seek an answer from Modi. The government must focus on withdrawal of black money from Swiss banks and this will help fulfill the five-year plans,” he added stating that administering the nation is not an easy task.
District-in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake promised that he will try to reconstruct the party at the block level.
P V Mohan stated that there is no difference between Modi and Hitler. He added that he could find the causes for failure of the party in the constituency despite strong public support.
