Mangalore, Jun 22: The accused in the murder attempt of Naufal of Kudroli on Dec 29, 2005 has been arrested.
The Anti-rowdy Squad (ARS) on Wednesday, Jun 22 nabbed Ankush Rahim of Kudroli, the accused in the attempt to murder case.
Sources have said that Ankush tried to murder Naufal based on the doubt at the former was a police informant and had alerted the police on the drug dealings of Ankush.
The ARS lead by Vinay A Gaonkar arrived at Kandatpalli park with nabbed Naufal. His bike has been seized and 550 gms of ganja worth Rs 2,000 have been confiscated.
During interrogation, Ankush confessed to have purchased ganja from Uppala and sold to at Natekal and other areas.
The squad has also recovered the sword used to assault Naufal.
A case of attempt to murder and a case under NDPC act have been filed against Ankush.
