Panaji, Jun 21: Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Computer Society of India is organizing a Talk "*Multi Channel Communication" on *Friday, June 23 at 4.00 pm.

With the advent of the Internet and email, many organizations as well as Government departments now offer customers and citizens two new channels other than the traditional telephone – namely web self-service and email. Although still in its infancy in India , the growth in multi-channel communications is still in its infancy in India , the growth in multi-channel communications is already palpable, and we can learn from early adopters both in the United States and UK.

This presentation briefly introduces these new channels , the challenges and benefits they bring with them , and the software technology that's available to organizations for them to offer improved and more efficient customer service.

The speaker, Anand Ranthidevan has recently joined Goa Institute of Management as Asst. Professor of Information systems. He has worked in software industry for over 10 years , both in India and abroad , with companies like Talisma , Aztec Software , Jamcracker and Microland.

During this time he has defined and managed software products and solutions in the areas of customer service and support, knowledge management and self-service , customer interaction management and CRM.
