Mangalore, Jun 21: The students of Government College (formerly known as University College here boycotted classes and staged protest on Tuesday June 20 asking the college administration to meet their demands.
The students demanded the repair of college title board, cleaning of drainage in front of the college library, making proper arrangement of drinking water etc. The students also asked the administration to encourage athletes and sports persons of the college, help the economically poor students for their studies.
The student also complained about the autocratic behaviour of the college principal and the apparent interference of police in every little problem of the college.
The protest was led by Nemiraj Shetty, Santhosh Shetty, Vishalraj, Pavan, Kiran, Harish and others.
