Mangalore, Apr 20: “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah must take a keen interest with regard to the fake encounter killing of Kabeer of Jokkatte. Home minister K J George also must look into this issue seriously. George has promised to hand over the case to the COD, but we want detailed investigations and the case must be handed over to the CBI,” urged Muslim leader Mohammad Masood, addressing media persons at a press meet called by the Muslim Central Committee on Sunday April 20 at Hotel Woodlands.

“After looking at the incident, and going into the details of reports related to the case, it is clear that the ANF has played a foul game in this fake encounter. There is too much evidence that can prove that the whole incident has been manipulated by the police and that the encounter is fake. The case has to be thoroughly investigated; hence, it must be handed over to the CBI. We will not request anybody in relation to this case, but the CM and home minister must answer all our questions. The government has declared a compensation of Rs 5 lac but as per calculations from all angles, his family must get at least Rs 30 lac as compensation as a part of justice,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, leader Ibrahim Kodijal said CM Siddaramaiah, home minister K J George, minister U T Khader, and three other ministers from the district and all the MLAs have promised to look into this issue seriously and to conduct a detailed investigation and bring justice to the family of the deceased. “We will take the responsibility of giving justice to Kabeer’s family. All the leaders and activists of various associations of the community must maintain peace in the society,” he added.

Leaders Vasudev Boloor, Sayeed Ismail, Haneef Hajee, B Aboobakar, Moideen Monu, Basha Thangal, C M Musthafa, Yusoof Akthar, Mohammad Shareef as well as leaders of Jamaithullah Falah and Ahinda were present.

Stephan Police do not have right but Anti Naxal Force (Special Force like COBRA in Andhra Pradesh)does have right to shoot any person strongly suspected to be a Naxal. Let us not glorify a Smuggler or Criminal and honor him with Sainthood. Sometime I feel we too are equally guilty by consuming "Chori ka Maal".

Whichever criminal activity they have been involved in, but police dont have any rights to encounter them at the spot.

Then what is the use Indian Judicial system, when the police can decide everything on the spot. There are lot of criminals involved in different crimes, then why not encounter them. Are they innocent???

There was a big mistake from Siddu govt when they assumed power in Karnataka, nobody bothers to look in to the atrocities of BD goons in police department.Unlike BJP govt,Siddu govt did not shunt BD minded police personnel from the department.STILL MORAL POLICING CONTINUES UNABATED!!!Why Home minister mum on that serious issue? Now the time is ripe to do needful and look in to the law and order problem of twin coastal districts.I think under such suspicious circumstances CBI inquiry is a must and a package of compensation should be considered from GOVT end.
