Bangalore, Apr 14: Sri Rama Sene chief and Independent Lok Sabha candidate Pramod Muthalik, against whom the BJP has filed a complaint with the EC demanding his arrest for allegedly publishing false information about Ananth Kumar in a book, hit out at the BJP on Monday April 14 and said it would not dare to get him arrested, and that he would defy any such move.
Muthalik released the book on Sunday April 13 in which he alleged BJP candidate from Bangalore North Ananth Kumar's involvement in a Rs 14,000 crore Hudco scam.
Following the book's release, BJP spokesperson Ashwath Narayan in a complaint urged the Election Commissioner to immediately arrest Pramod Muthalik for making false claims in the book.
Reacting to BJP's complaint, Muthalik said, "Does BJP have the courage to put me behind the bars?"
Speaking to daijiworld, Muthalik said, "With polling day for the elections approaching, BJP is naturally trying to pull down its opponents using cheap tactics. Ananth Kumar is a man who all these years hindered the growth of other leaders in the district to protect his own political career. He is a man with selfish motives who has destroyed the careers of many. He is detrimental to the society."
He further added, "The BJP candidate is certain that he would lose this election, and that is why he and other BJP leaders are venting out their frustration on me. But noting will deter me from reaching my destination in this parliamentary elections."
