Bantwal, Jun 17: In another road accident on Friday June 16, one Robert Patrao (48) was killed when a private bus collided with a Santro car on National Highway 48 at Surikumer near Mani of Vittal here. Three more persons travelling in the car have sustained serious injuries in the accident.
The injured have been identified as Anil Pinto of Moodigere who was driving the car, William Lobo of Uppinagady. However, the identity of the one more person who was injured in the accident is not established.
There are no more details about the persons travelling in the car. It is only known that they were travelling to Puttur.
The National Highway was blocked for more than an hour following the accident. It was later cleared by Vittal police.
The Vittal police have booked a case in this regard.
