Bangalore, Jun 13: Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has announced that the cabinet expansion will take place before the adjourned assembly session due from June 19 to July 14 begins.
Speaking to reporters here on Monday June 12, he said that the exact date of the cabinet expansion will be decided at the cabinet meeting to be held on Tuesday June 13 here.
He also informed that the nominations to boards and corporations will also be decided before the assembly session. The coalition parties have almost reached a consensus with respect to the positions of chairpersons to boards and corporations and the parliamentary secretary.
Referring to the growing demand to reduce the fuel prices, he said that he would discuss the matter with deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa before taking a decision. The cabinet will also take a decision on Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project and Common Entrance Test (CET) in the meeting on June 13.
With regard to the gulf countries that have come forward to contribute to the infrastructure development in the state, he said that issues pertaining to this were discussed with various government representatives and investors during his visit to these countries.
Amendments to Essential Services Bill, BDA Bill and Land Revenue Bill would be put forward during the assembly session, he said.
