Los Angeles, April 3 (IANS): Irish rock band U2's 1987 album "The Joshua Tree" is among 25 recordings to be added to the US Library of Congress’s National Recording Registry.
It is considered “culturally, historically or aesthetically significant”, reports dailystar.co.uk.
Also in the list is "The Laughing Song" by George Washington Johnson - the first African-American to record commercial music, in 1896.
U2 was formed in 1976. Its lead singer is Bono.
