Udupi, Apr 2: In a quick operation, Kaup police on Wednesday April 2 seized ten buffaloes and a cow that were being illegally transported to Talapady from Kota for sale.

The animals were being transported in a Tata 909 vehicle. The police stopped the vehicle at Koppalangady and arrested two persons in this regard.

The Kaup police led by inspector Rajendra Naik arrested Puttur resident Zainulla Abid (28), the driver of the vehicle and Kasargod resident Mohammed A (54).

Police are investigating whether the cattle were stolen or were being taken for slaughter after buying.

The animals were being transported in a merciless manner due to lack of space and a buffalo died during transport due to suffocation.

The vehicle was loaded with vegetables to avoid suspicion. When the vehicle was stopped by the police the accused tried to mislead the police by saying that they were transporting vegetables.

A picture of Shivaji was hung in front of the vehicle and his name was written as 'Raja Shivaji'. Pictures of Trishul and 'Bhagawadwaja' were also hung there. The vehicle had two number plates of Puttur and Maharashtra registration.

The animals were taken to Neelavara goshala. The arrested were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody.

Taking shelter under the Religious symbols of some other Religion to cover up their sinful inhuman deeds.
What would have been the reaction of those people if Hindus had used the symbol of that Religion to cover up their dirty deeds ?

See the fear for Transporting cattles . If they wouldn't have feared BD or Rama sene they wouldn't have used the snaps of Shivaji.

The above pictures are really disturbing , Puts the question about ethical treatment of animals. It's morally wrong to kill just because it tastes good.

Mr Police there is no any question of that are being taken taken for slaughter after buying as we can see how they mercilessly packed them in a vehicle and tried to hide it.They should be not be hung or been put behind the bars but they too made to undergo the same cruel experience the buffaloes has faced.

What a cruelty. Good Congress changed their symbol from petta kanji. Otherwise, people would have quoted "Congress'n kannond povond uller". "Congrss'n Batkayer" "Congress tempo sameta pasiyer"

Vehicle was named after Raja Shivaji, Picture of Shivaji Trishul & Bhagwa dwaja were hung in Cabin. Nice plan to escape from Moral Police.
But Cattle thieves should have shaved their head & sported a Juttu, and Naama on their fore-head. Then they would have been successful in hoodwinking the Police also.

Can they won't survive without consuming a 'beef meat'...!!
It's now on our hand to save cattles which land in wrong hand..!!
India in the past survived due to agriculture having more cattles than human-beings. Jai Ho Go Matha....

Good work done by the police by saving the sacred animal..
in rural villages the cattle are the bread and butter, few families there depend on cattle.. but these goons steal their bread and enjoy .
Strict action should be implemented for such crimes...
