Vishnu lauds 11-minute action sequence in 'Rowdy'


Chennai, March 26 (IANS): The pre-interval 11-minute fight sequence in Ram Gopal Varma's forthcoming Telugu directorial "Rowdy" is one of the best of his career, says actor Manchu Vishnu, who will seen in the particular scene alongside his father Manchu Mohan Babu.

"Rowdy" is slated to release in cinemas April 4.

"This interval sequence is by far one of the best fights I have ever done. Entire credit goes to RGV (Ram Gopal Varma) for capturing great action timing and finely tuned aggression by the two lead actors in the film," Vishnu said in a statement.

"This concocted action extravaganza with widescreen cinematography of Rayalaseema arid landscapes added great punch to the spectacle," he added.

Vishnu says it's one of the best action sequences in Telugu cinema.

"By keeping the camera focused firmly on Mohan Babu and my performance for 11 minutes, RGV turned this lavishly budgeted scene as one of its kind incredible action sequences ever made in a Telugu movie," he added.

Meanwhile, the makers of the film have decided to the release "Rowdy" with English subtitles worldwide.

"We would like audience to savour our films that instantly connect with moviegoers irrespective of the language they speak. English subtitles help expand audience base as worldwide film audience are willing to look beyond language," added the statement.

"Rowdy" also features Jayasudha, Ravi Babu, Kishore and Shanvi Srivastav in important roles.
