Bieber surprises with SXSW performance

Los Angeles, March 11 (IANS): Pop star Justin Bieber kicked off the music portion of the SXSW festival, before the real event began.

The 20-year-old singer surprised his fans by performing at Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden, Austin March 9, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Bieber performed on two songs, including “Boyfriend”, which he dedicated to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, who was backstage, said an audience member named Ashley Gregg.

“This goes out to my baby girl,” said Bieber, to the crowd of about 100 people.

The bar hosted the event for Bieber's manager Scooter Braun. Surprise performers included Bieber, Cody Simpson, Dan Shay, Tori Kelly, and Rixton, who are among Braun’s clients.
