RGV, Boyapati Srinu to lock horns this summer

Chennai, March 11 (IANS): Come March 28, two star-studded Telugu films "Rowdy" and "Legend", by Ram Gopal Varma and Boyapati Srinu respectively, are slated to lock horns at the box office, making it the biggest clash of summer 2014.

"Our film will be an Ugadi treat for the audience. It is coming out March 28 as planned earlier. There will no changes in that. It's a huge responsibility to make a film with Balakrishna sir. I think we have lived up to the expectations of his fans," film's producer Anil Sunkara told IANS.

This is the second time that Balakrishna has teamed up with Srinu after the blockbuster "Simha". The film also features Radhika Apte, Sonal Chauhan in important roles.

Meanwhile, RGV-directed "Rowdy", featuring Manchu Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Vishnu, is also slated for release on the same date.

"The release date is being finalised as March 28. The film was completed long back and currently the team is busy with the promotions. RGV is known for wrapping up his projects quickly. Therefore, there shouldn't be any change in the release," a source from the film's unit, told IANS.

"Rowdy" is loosely based on RGV's "Sarkar". It also features Shanvi Srivastav in an important role.
