Chennai, March 4 (IANS): Southern actress Kavita Srinivasan, who recently gave birth to a baby boy, is keeping herself busy with a designing project.
Kavita is an architect from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
"Post-delivery, I haven't signed any new projects. I'm keeping myself occupied with a designing project that I started working on last year. I'm designing a theatre space for a close friend with whom I've worked in a couple of productions in the past," Kavita told IANS.
She says she's enjoying working on the project.
"Had it been a conventional theatre set up, it would have been challenging. But I'm working on an informal theatre space and therefore haven't adhered to any strict rules of architecture. I have been enjoying it because there's a lot of flexibility in what I'm doing," she added.
She also says that being a mother has given her a "completely different experience".
"I agree there's a lot of work than expected, but the experience is different," she said.
Having made a successful cinematic debut with 2013 Telugu thriller "Kaalicharan", Kavita is currently awaiting the release of Tamil psychological thriller "Aadhiyum Andhamum".
"I started this project even before 'Kaalicharan'. Technically, this had to be my debut, but its release got delayed. It's a psychological thriller and the story revolves around five characters. The film is complete and the makers are gearing up for release soon," said Kavita.
