Los Angeles, Feb 25 (IANS): Actors Luke Bracey and Gerard Butler have been tapped to play the lead roles in the forthcoming remake of action film "Point Break".
Bracey will portray Johnny Utah, a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent, played by Keanu Reeves in the original. Meanwhile, Butler is a part of the project to play Bodhi, a charismatic surfer previously portrayed by the late Patrick Swayze, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The names of the main characters remain the same and even the plot, which will follow an FBI agent infiltrating a crime ring.
However, the remake will be set in the international world of extreme sports, instead of the Southern California surf scene like in the original.
