Kundapur: 23-year-old killed in serial accident at Tallur

Kundapur, Feb 20: A youth was killed on the spot in a serial accident at Tallur here on Thursday February 20.

The deceased, 23-year-old Ramesh, son of Laxman, was a resident of Pethri near Brahmavar.

A truck with Maharashtra registration was plying towards Kumta, when a car with Kerala registeration moving towards Udupi went out of control and rammed into it. The car also hit Ramesh who was riding his two-wheeler on the same side as the lorry. He was killed on the spot.

Ramesh, a scrap dealer, was on his way to his sister's house at Hemmady when the accident took place.

Abhishek and Gautam, residents of Hyderabad were in the car. Abhishek, who was driving, sustained injuries on his head and legs. Gautam escaped unhurt. Abhishek was admitted to a hospital.

The truck driver has been identified as Shaaj. He was transporting sand to Kumta.

Kundapur police have registered a case.
