Mangalore, Feb 7: Jamiyyatul Falah Mangalore corporation unit on Thursday February 6 installed one more dialysis machine at Father Muller Hospital in the city as part of its charity works.
Presiding over the handing-over ceremony of the dialysis machine, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, Fr Mullar Charitable Institutions said that as the number of patients is continuously increasing, there is a need for support from all quarters. He extended gratitude to the donors Shekabba Karnere and K S Syed Karnere for their noble gesture.
Chief guest J R Lobo, MLA Mangalore South, appreciated the charity activities of Jamiyyatul Falah organization and thanked the donors for their association in social service activities of Jamiyyatul falah.
Saduddin M Salihi, president, Jamiyyatul Falah, said that his organization took this step with the intention of providing concessionary rate treatment to the economically backward patients. A large number of poor patients have been benefited from the five dialysis machines already installed at the same hospital by Jamiyyatul Falah with the help of donors. On behalf of donor Shekabba Karnere and K.S Syed Karnere, he also announced that a fund is being set up to provide free dialysis treatment to the poorest.
Ashraf Karnire and Ansif Karnire were present at the occasion, Salim Ahmed, JF medical service convener and P B A Razak, JF former president, coordinated the event. The function was attended by senior doctors, medical staff, faculty staff and office bearers and members of Jamiyyatul Falah.
Imtiaz Katheeb, president Jamiyyatul Falah Mangalore corporation unit, welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guests.
Fr Richard Coelho, administrator, Father Muller Charitable Institutions extended the vote of thanks.
