Rally held to protect tribal communities reaches Kundapur

Kundapur, Feb 6: Karnataka Aranya Mula Budakattu organized a rally in the form of a walk from Kuppalli of Shimoga to Bangalore on January 28 as a protest to protect basic tribal communities.

As the rally reached Kundapur, Karnataka Aranya Mula Budakattu , submitted a memorandum to the sub divisional officer and Tahsildar.

"Bring new a education rule  to help the tribal children. Provide community title deed as per the Forest Right Act. Tribal Community should not be evicted from theirforest habitats," these were few of the demands put forth by the forum.

The rally will reach Bangalore on February 26.

On this occasion Udupi division of Karnataka Aranya Mula Budakattu presented the demands of the tribes pertaining to the limits of Udupi District and Kundapur Taluk.

Susheela Koraga Nada of Koraga Abhirudhi Okkuta, Udupi division, Jenu Kuruba Okkuta, Korga Abhirudhi Committee were also present.
