Mangalore, Jan 28: “The state JD(S) youth wing will organize a convention for youth termed ‘Yuvachethana’ on Wednesday January 29 at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore, and youth are requested to join the convention,” said K Srinath Rai, working president, D K District Yuva Janata Dal, addressing the media at Hotel Woodlands, on Monday January 27.
In order to mark this convention and to give publicity to the grand event, a bike rally was also organized in the city on Monday.
Youth and members of the JD(S) youth wing went around the city on their two-wheelers shouting slogans and holding the party flags in their hands. The rally that was flagged off from Bunts Hostel reached Woodlands via Pinto Bakery, KSRTC, Lalbagh, Besant, PVS, Navabharath, City Centre, and Jyothi. Nearly 250 youth from the district are expected to participate in the convention.
“As people were fed up of BJP rule, they chose the Congress to rule the state. But on one side, chief minister Siddaramiah is putting up a one-man show and on the other side, they are getting corrupt politicians like D K Shivakumar and Roshan Baig back into politics. The government has not been in favor of the people and is trying to divide the society on caste-based lines. We strongly condemn this. Hence, JD(S) is the only option in the next upcoming MP elections. We are working actively with the slogan -‘ Develop JD(S), Save Nation’,” added Rai.
Leaders Akshith Suvarna, Prasad, Nuthan, and Janardhan Bolpugudde were present.
