Mangalore, Jan 15: The department of hospital administration of Father Muller Medical College (FMMC), Mangalore, will host the national conference ‘Horizon 2014’ on Friday January 17 at Decennial Memorial Hall, FMMC, Mangalore.
"It is a signature event organized annually to provide a platform for discussion and gaining knowledge in the area of hospital administration. This year we have collaborated with the Academy of Hospital Administration and the theme will be ‘Updates and Recent Trends in Healthcare - Plan, Reform and Innovate the Future is Now’, said Dr Sudhamithi, Father Muller Hospital, on Wednesday January 15 at a press meet.
She said, "There will be 20 colleges participating in this conference as well as delegates from various hospitals. We hope to bring together pioneers in the field to interact with an enthusiastic and respective audience."
The inauguration of Horizon 2014 will be done by chief guest Ramanath Rai, minister for forest, environment, and ecology, Karnataka, Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director, Father Muller Charitable Institutions, will preside over the function. The keynote address will be given by Dr Rohan Monis, chief medical co-ordinator, Unity Health Complex, Mangalore.
The grand programme will conclude with the valedictory programme on SaturdayJanuary 18 at 3:30 pm.
Chief guest for the valedictory function will be Dr R C Natarajan, director and chairman of TAPMI, Manipal.
Professor Narasimhan, Father Muller Hospital, Prabha Mary, student co-ordinator, Roopa Priyanka D'Souza and Sushma D'Souza, media committee-in-charge were also present at the press meet.
