New Delhi, May 11: The two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists nabbed in New Delhi on Monday May 8, conspired to bomb three Bollywood parties in Mumbai, revealed a highly-placed source in the Intelligence Bureau. Feroz Latif Ghaswala and Ali Mohmmad Chippa had short-listed three filmi parties.
“Their targets were Bollywood parties to be organised in five and seven star hotels between May 12 and May 25 at Juhu, Santacruz (E) and Bandra,” said the source.
“Assassinating a political figure involves a lot of planning, however, it’s easy to gatecrash filmi dos and can also have an impact,” added the source.
“We are unaware of the duo’s background. They wanted to target Bollywood personalities as the magnitude of the attack would be far greater and would also get them more attention than their usual targets,” said Senior Inspector Anti-Terrorist Squad Sunil Deshmukh.
