Karkala, Dec 15 : "Constant changes, innovations are being introduced in the field of education and if the mother expects her child to be successful in overall studies, she has to spare atleast ten minutes of her time and sit with her child and discuss about the studies. There must be a good relationship between the mother and the child, so the child can beome smart and talented," said Suhas Hegde, Nandalike.
Suhas Hegde was chief guest at the Belman St Joseph kannada and english medium school's annual day celebration.
Supreeth Shetty, member of zilla panchayat said " When a person is born they need to learn how to live in the world. This is the point where parents and teachers help a child to grow up to a mature adult."
The old students association president and Taluk panchayat member, Xavier D'Mello said "In future to fulfill the basic requirements of the school, the Old students association will render their help."
Old student and retired CEO of Western India Chemicals, Ramachandra Rao, distributed cash awards from the charity fund ‘Karmadka Krishna Thantri Seetalaxmi Memorial Fund’ which he had established in memory of his parents for the merit students and congratulated them.
Honorary teacher, Divya, english medium school teacher, Gayatri Bhat announced the winner list.
School teacher, Monica and english medium school headmistress, Janet D’Souza read the annual report.
Senior Teacher Juliana Moras welcomed the guests and the gathering. Teacher B. Pundalika Marathe and Vincent Pinto compered the program. English medium school teacher, Ranjani Acharya proposed vote of thanks.
Students performed a cultural program and also 'Chandrahasa' a drama directed by Vincent Pinto.
The program was presided over by school correspondent Fr Lawrence B D’Souza, who conveyed his message on the occasion with his best wishes. On the dias, church pastoral council vice president Gregory Menezes, Nandalike CRP Panduranga Shetty, high school headmistress Renilda Pereira, convent superior Sr Usha Stella, school development committee president, Ronald D’Souza were present.
