Mangalore, Dec 1: The Dakshina Kannada district committee of Karnataka Muslim Jamat council held a conference of district Jamat representatives at Town Hall here on Saturday, November 30.
P M Abbas Musliyar, president of Karnataka Sunni Coordination committee led the prayers.
P M Ibrahim Musliyar, Qazi of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Hassan and Chikmagalur districts who inaugurated the conference said if Ulamas are good the community can live in harmony. Ulamas are held in high esteem in the community and are respected. Jamat group does not belong to a party. It is a group that struggles for the development of the community. He said that Jamat can bring about unity in the community.
Sayyed Fazul Koyamma Tanjal Madani Al Bukhari Koorath, state committee president of Karnataka Muslim Jamat council presided over the programme.
