Mangalore, Apr 17: Avil Martis (35), son of the late Sunny Martis of Kodickal ended his life by jumping into River Phalguni at Bangra Kulur near here. His body was found on Sunday April 16 morning at Kulur.
Avil had gone missing in the last week. All the efforts by his family members to search him had failed. They had not filed a case with the police assuming that he would return. But he did not.
On Sunday morning, his body was found in the river by one Ashok of Kulur who in turn informed the Kavoor police. The body was found in the decomposed state which indicated that he might have committed suicide at least a couple of days ago.
The Kavoor police have registered a case in this regard.
