Mangalore, Apr 4: Muhiyuddin New Jumma Masjid, situated at Jokatte will be inaugurated by Tajul Ulama Asaiyyid Abdurrahaman Albukhari Thangal Ullal on April 11.
Briefing the media on the event, the Masjid president J Mohammed said that various religious and cultural programme will be conducted from Monday to April 11, as part of the Masjid inauguration and Id-Milad celebrations.
The new Masjid has been built with total expenditure of Rs 75 lac. The weeklong celebrations will be held under the guidance of Zainul Ulama Abu Umeira Kota Abdul Khader Musliyar on April 11.
Union minister Oscar Fernandes, minister for state for external affairs E Ahmed, rajya sabha deputy chairman Rehman Khan, state minority commission chairman K S M Masood, former minister C M Ibrahim, B A Moidin, Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar, former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake and mayor Mangalore City Corporation K Ashraf will be present on the occasion.
Salwat, annual celebrations will be held under the guidance of Syed Ibrahim-ul-Khalil Thangal Albukhari Kadalundi on Thursday, April 6.
