Mangalore, Apr 2: Karnataka Bank Ltd surpassed its business turnover target of Rs 20,000 crore for the financial year 2005-06. This was informed by chairman of the bank Ananthakrishna while addressing the members of the bank on Saturday, April 1.
He also unveiled the road map for the financial year 2006-07 which included business turnover of Rs 25,000 crore with deposits of Rs 15,000 crore with deposits of Rs 15,000 crore and advances of Rs 10,000 crore. The bank plans to bring its net NPA within 0.75 per cent.
The bank intends to take the total number of branches to 415 by the end of March 2007, while the number of Bank’s own ATMs will be raised to 125 before the end of the fiscal.
The bank has also plans for mobile top up and online booking of airline ticket through internet banking.
