Mangalore, Apr 1: It is said that death is a great leveller. But when it strikes to someone close to us, none can accept this truth. At times death strikes when no one expects it.
This was proved so true in the case of Sunil Anil Miranda (34), a resident of New Padavu of Shaktinagar near Kulshekar here. He had come down to his home town only on Thursday March 30 from Kuwait. Preparations were on for his wedding. The entire family was on its toe preparing for his wedding.
But within a fraction of a second everything has come to a standstill. None can digest the truth that fate has snatched Sunil from them. His mother and siblings are in a shock. People those who met and saw him during the Way of the Cross on Friday evening in the Cordel Church cannot believe that Sunil was dead by Saturday morning.
Sunil was found dead in a pool of blood in front of A J Hospital on the National Highway 17 on Saturday morning. No one knows as to which vehicle knocked him down. Even the family members do not know as to where he had gone after the Way of the Cross on Friday evening. They all were waiting for him for dinner. But he never returned and when they woke up on Saturday morning, they received the news that Sunil was no more.
Sunil was working for Algenium Company in Kuwait. He is the son of the late Joseph Miranda and Louisa Miranda of New Padavu.
So far no more details about the accident are known. It is no yet known whether he was waling beside the road or he was alone. It is also not known as to whether there was someone with him.
