Mangalore, Mar 31: The annual technical symposium ‘Engineer 2006’organized by the National Institute of Technology-Karnataka, Suratkal took off on a grand note on Thursday, March 30.
The four-day technical symposium will go on till April 2.
With the call to harness young talents from all over the nation, ‘Engineer 2006’has organized this symposium which drew engineering students from all over the country. Over 40 events related to engineering, science and management are in store for the participants. Teams from USA, Germany, Poland, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Vietnam and Azerbaijan and prestigious institutions like University of Ulm, Germany, Ninyang University of China, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon Universities are expected at the event.
For the first time this year a rural innovation and entrepreneurship event has been organized. On all the four days of the festival an exhibition by the Indian Space Research Organisation has been arranged, which will be open to public.
