Mangalore, Mar 27: The Confederation of Commerce Industry and Trade Bodies has been formed at the conference of the Southern Indian Chambers of Commerce and Trade Bodies convened by the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), Mangalore.
The confederation would comprise of all chambers at the district and state level. The company will be formed completely in a couple of months.
KCCI president A Srinivas Rao informed that the confederation would be applied for registration under section 25. Once that is approved the confederation would apply for company registration at Bangalore.
At present the forum is headed by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry president S Babu. A Srinivas Rao will be the secretary. There will be seven promotional members, all from KCCI Mangalore to facilitate immediate interaction between them.
New trade body would facilitate setting up of more industries in the South India.
