Moodbidri, Mar 26: Raita Sangha, and Moodbidri Farmers' Forum with 39 divisions, opened their office in the Raj Mahal Complex near the petrol pump.
Raita Sangha president Dhanakeerti Balipa inaugurated the premises, where DK District Farmers' Forum's Suresh Kumar, Alwyn Menezes, former president Sunder Kotian, vice president Latif Saheb, other office-bearers and presidents of all division with members of Raita Sangha were present.
The Raita Sangha and Moodbidri Farmers' Forum functionaries met chief minister H D Kumaraswamy during his visit to the city and invited him to the conference to be held from the end of April to the first week of May.
They presented to him a memorandum regarding the hardships faced by the farmers while dealing in electrictiy, revenue, police and other departments. The delegation was led by Raita Sangha president Dhanakeerti Balipa, district Farmers' forum correspondent Suresh Kumar, Alwyn Menezes, Sunder Kotian, Latif Saheb and other office-bearers. Ministers Nagaraj Shetty and Dr V S Acharya also were present during the meeting.
