Imphal, Oct 29 (IANS): At least four people were injured when suspected militants triggered a powerful explosion in Manipur's capital town Imphal Tuesday morning.
Police said the blast went off around 5.55 a.m. near Dharamsala in the heart of the city.
The four injured included two labourers, one student and a driver, police added.
A senior police official, who rushed to the area, said that the preliminary investigations indicated that the blast was triggered by a remote controlled device.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
Police said that the militants might have targeted the migrant labourers who gather near Dharamsala every morning before going to work.
At least nine such migrant labourers from Assam, who were working on a project, were killed and several other injured when the militants triggered a powerful blast in Imphal last month.
