Brussels, Oct 25 (IANS): Spain will call in the US ambassador to Madrid to explain reports of US spying, media quoted Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy as saying Friday.
Despite lack of "evidence that Spain has been spied on", Rajoy said, "We are calling in the ambassador to get information."
Rajoy's remarks came after an EU summit dominated by the alleged US spying scandal and immigration concerns in the Mediterranean, Xinhua reported.
The French foreign ministry summoned the US ambassador to France Monday while the German foreign ministry summoned the US ambassador to Germany Thursday following the alleged US spying in these countries.
