Kasargod, Oct 25: Police here have arrested a Kanathur, Koodala resident K P Shashidhar Nayar (50) for rape of his maidservant.
It is said that the parents of the girl were employed in the house of Shashidar as agriculture laborers. They left only their 17-year-old daughter in the house and left about a year ago. The girl has complained that she was raped by Shashidhar when there was nobody in the house both during the day and the night.
The girl belongs to Beltangady by origin. She had informed of the incidents to her father and a police complaint was lodged two days ago.
