Mangalore, Mar 21: For the third consecutive year, the month long Hrudaya Bhagya camp has been scheduled from April 3. The heart camp has been successfully organized by A J Hospital and Research Centre in association with Rotary Club Mangalore East, VRL Group publications and Shree Shah Seva Trust.

A J Hospital medical director Dr Prashant Marla speaking to press persons here on Monday, March 20 informed that cardiac consultation, ECG and ECHO will be provided free of charges. Angiogram will be done at Rs 4,000, open heart surgery will be conducted at Rs 50,000 and other procedures in cardiology will be undertaken at the concessional rate.

A band of well known cardiac surgeons and cardiologists will participate in the camp. A separate counseling team has been formed to provide information to the patients, he added.

The participants are requested to bring with them the history of records, if any issued by their physicians. Interested should register their names on phone numbers 0824 2229656 and 0824 2229601 before April 10.

Only 100 patients per day will be screened and treated. However the camp intends to treat around 3,000 patients during the camp.

Those suffering from congenial heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, coronary heart disease, and those who require bypass or open heart surgery and suffer from other heart problems can avail the benefits.
