Kasargod: Wife kills drunkard husband

Kasargod, Oct 20: A woman killed her drunk husband by hitting him with a wooden stick at Thumbol in Panathadi Chamundikunnu here.

Labourer Yashwanth (30) is the deceased. The Rajapura police have arrested his wife Prasida (25) for the murder.

The incident occurred around 10 pm on Friday October 18. Yashwant used to get drunk every night and harass Prasida. He had come drunk on Friday night and started fighting with his spouse. Prasida has admitted that she hit him at night. 

Yashwant, hailing from Karnataka, had come to stay in Chamundikunni about six years ago. He was staying at his wife’s house after marriage. They were daily wage labourers.

Police have said that Yashwanth died due to loss of blood from the wound. The couple has a five-year-old son named Ashwin. Vallerikundu circle inspector Anil Kumar is investigating.

    very tragic.The wife had most probably enough from his Alcohol excess.How many families were and are due to alcohol lost .many times women also are drinking and neglecting children .mostly daily wagers carry their lohn to the alcohol Shops.so Ends at last this way.
