Mangalore, Mar 17: Two students who wanted money to purchase new mobike, chose an easy way to pool in money.  However, to their bad luck (and good luck of the society) they were caught by the owner of the cell phone shop from where they had stolen cell phones on Thursday March 16 evening.

Roshan and Asif, residents of Kulshekar wanted to buy a new bike.  But their parents refused to give money.  So they thought of collecting money by stealing cell phones and selling them.  Accordingly they went to a cell phone show room at Bijai.  They were the customers of the same shop.

While talking to the owner, they managed to steal one cell phone from the shop.  It was only after they left the office that the owner came to know about the theft.  He immediately informed many shops in the city about the theft and asked the owners not to buy the cell phone.

It was late in the evening that Roshan and Asif came to a shop at Kankanady and tried to sell the stolen cell phone.  Since the shopkeeper knew about the theft, he informed the owner of the shop from where the cell phone was stolen.  The latter immediately came to the shop and caught the boys and recovered the stolen handset.

However, no complaint was filed against the students since the case was settled with mutual compromise.
