Mangalore, Mar 11: The Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) has decided to run special trains from Mumbai to Karwar, Ernakulam and city from during the summer season.
The special trains will be run from April 1 to July 1 by KRC. While the Dadar-Ernaculam and Dadar-Mangalore train will run once a week, Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus-Karwar train will chug off all weekdays.
The Dadar-Ernakulam train will leave Mumbai at 12.45 pm on Saturday and will reach Ernaculam at 4.45 on the next day. In the same way the train will leave Ernaculam at 11.45 pm on Sunday and will reach Dadar on the next day. The train will stop only at Karwar, Kumta, Honnavar, Bhatkal, Udupi, Suratkal and Kankanady stops.
The Dadar-Mangalore train will Dadar at 12.45 pm on Wednesday and will reach city at 6.55 am on the next day. The same train will leave city at 10.30 am on Thursday and will reach Dadar at 3.45 am on the next day. The train will stop only at Surtkal, Udupi, Bhatkal, Honnavar and Kumta on its way to Dadar.
The Karwar- Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus Train will leave Karwar at 3.20 pm and will reach Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 4.15 am on the next day. The same train will leave CSTM at 11.55 pm and will reach Karwar on the next day at 2 pm.
The train will stop at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roh, Mangan, Khed, Chiploon, Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri, Vilewad, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavvadi Road, Nandagaon, Kankavali, Kudal, Savantwadi Road, Pernem, Tivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Canacona and Asnoti.
