Shimla, Oct 4 (IANS): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Friday accepted the resignation of Rajesh Dharmani as chief parliamentary secretary, party leaders said.
Accepting the resignation, the chief minister asked Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri to talk and redress Dharmani's grievances, a senior party leader told IANS.
According to party insiders, he was not satisfied with the post of chief parliamentary secretary as it lacked power. Dharmani resigned two days ago.
The Himachal chief minister's decision to appoint his loyalists on plum posts also irked him, said a leader.
In the nine-month-old Congress government, Dharmani is the second leader to quit.
A civil engineer by profession, he is a second-time legislator from Ghumarwin in Bilaspur district.
Earlier, Rakesh Kalia had resigned to uphold the principle of 'one-man, one-post' after he was made secretary of the All-India Congress Committee.
